Reflection: 
I really enjoyed creating this piece for the unit. I feel like it is that one that I've been most creative with and really thought outside the box to incorporate cultural appreciation. Something that went into this project was looking at a lot of different reference photos, and some examples of African textiles. I used my master artist Esther Mahlangu to reference different traditional African textiles. I used my current artist, who mainly focuses on cross-hatching, to get some inspiration for the face. Something I think that went well is the different uses of colors. I like how the main focus is her headscarf because I feel that focuses on the cultural part of the piece. Something I could have done better is using a different pen for the face. The pen I used kept putting out too much ink at the wrong times. But overall this project was a lot of fun.
